Privacy Policy

Axis Intelligence LLC - USA

Effective date: May 24, 2026 Last updated: May 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Axis Intelligence (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit axis-intelligence.com (the “Site”), subscribe to our newsletters, or interact with our content.

We’ve tried to write this policy in plain English. If anything is unclear, email privacy@axis-intelligence.com and we’ll explain.

Quick summary

  • We collect what we need to operate the site (analytics, ad serving, comments, newsletter), and nothing more.
  • We don’t sell your personal data.
  • You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.
  • We use cookies — see the cookie section for the full list.
  • We’re based in [YOUR COUNTRY] but we follow GDPR (Europe) and CCPA/CPRA (California) requirements regardless of where you live.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

  • Email address, when you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us.
  • Name, when you provide it via contact forms or comments.
  • Comments, if you post comments on articles.
  • Account information, if we add user accounts in the future.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device and browser information — type, version, screen size, language.
  • Network information — IP address, approximate geographic location (city level, not precise location), internet service provider.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, referring URL, search terms used to reach the site.
  • Performance data — page load times, errors encountered.

We collect this through standard web analytics tools and server logs.

1.3 Information from third parties

  • Ad networks and affiliate programs may share aggregated data with us about ad performance and clicks. This data does not personally identify you.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
  • Send our newsletter and respond to your messages.
  • Measure the effectiveness of our content (which articles are read, which are ignored).
  • Display relevant advertising and measure ad performance.
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use the information we collect to:

  • Sell personal data to third parties.
  • Make automated decisions that significantly affect you.
  • Profile you for purposes other than improving the Site and serving relevant ads.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies for:

Type Purpose Examples
Strictly necessary Keep the site working — load balancing, security, login state Session cookies, CSRF tokens
Performance Help us understand how visitors use the site (anonymized) Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics
Advertising Serve relevant ads, measure ad performance Google AdSense, ad network cookies
Functional Remember your preferences (dark mode, etc.) Theme preference cookies

Managing cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site may not work as expected. We also display a cookie consent banner on first visit where you can grant or refuse consent for non-essential cookies.

Do Not Track. We honor browser-based “Do Not Track” signals where technically feasible.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles your data:

Service Purpose Privacy policy
Google Analytics Site usage analytics policies.google.com/privacy
Google AdSense Display advertising policies.google.com/privacy
Cloudflare CDN and security cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Newsletter provider (e.g., MailerLite, ConvertKit) Newsletter delivery See provider’s privacy policy
Affiliate networks (Amazon Associates, ShareASale, Impact, CJ Affiliate, etc.) Affiliate link tracking See each network’s privacy policy
Comment system (if applicable: Disqus, native WordPress, etc.) Article comments See provider’s privacy policy

We do not share your personal data with these providers beyond what is necessary for them to perform their function (e.g., your email address goes to the newsletter provider so they can send you the newsletter).

5. Advertising

Some pages on the Site display advertising served through ad networks including Google AdSense and other partners.

  • Personalized advertising uses cookies and may rely on profiling based on your browsing behavior. You can opt out via Google Ads Settings and youronlinechoices.com.
  • Contextual advertising does not use your personal data and is served based on the content of the page only. We use contextual advertising where possible.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.

6. Affiliate links

Some links on the Site are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full details and the list of programs we participate in.

Affiliate links use tracking cookies set by the merchant or affiliate network — not by Axis Intelligence directly. These cookies typically expire 24 hours to 90 days after click depending on the program.

7. How we share information

We do not sell personal data.

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site (hosting, email delivery, analytics) — only the data they need to perform their function.
  • Legal requirements — if we are required by law, court order, or government request, we will disclose information to the extent required.
  • Business transfers — if Axis Intelligence is acquired or merged with another company, your information may transfer to the new owner under the same privacy commitments.
  • With your consent — if we ever want to share information for purposes not described in this policy, we’ll ask you first.

8. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, we offer the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data.
  • Restriction — request that we limit our processing of your personal data.
  • Portability — receive your personal data in a portable format.
  • Objection — object to processing of your personal data for direct marketing or based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on your consent.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@axis-intelligence.com with a description of your request. We respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

8.1 GDPR (European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • The right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority if you believe we have mishandled your personal data.
  • The right to information about the legal basis for our processing — generally either your consent (for newsletter, optional cookies) or our legitimate interest in operating the Site (for analytics and security).

8.2 CCPA / CPRA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • The right to delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • The right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA/CPRA. To make a CCPA/CPRA request, email privacy@axis-intelligence.com.

9. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Site and our services:

  • Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe, then we retain a record of the unsubscribe for compliance purposes.
  • Contact form submissions — typically two years, unless we have an ongoing relationship that warrants longer retention.
  • Analytics data — anonymized and aggregated for at least 14 months, per Google Analytics defaults.
  • Server logs — typically 90 days.
  • Comments — until you request deletion or we discontinue the comment feature.

When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.

10. International data transfers

If you are located outside United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own. We rely on standard contractual clauses and other lawful transfer mechanisms where required.

11. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@axis-intelligence.com and we will delete it.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all site traffic.
  • Encrypted storage of sensitive data.
  • Access controls limiting who can access personal data.
  • Regular security reviews and updates.

No security system is perfect. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
  • Notify newsletter subscribers by email.
  • Display a notice on the Site for at least 30 days.

Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
