Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) booked NT$1.16 trillion of revenue in September 2026, its first month above NT$1 trillion and 38.42% more than a year earlier. Axis Intelligence Research calculates that Foxconn now earns NT$1.76 of cloud and networking revenue for every NT$1 of smart consumer electronics revenue, up from NT$0.65 in 2024.

Quick Answer

Foxconn’s revenue reached NT$8.10 trillion (about US$260 billion) in 2025 and NT$7.67 trillion in the first nine months of 2026, up 39.53% year on year, per Hon Hai’s monthly filings. Cloud and networking products, led by AI server racks, made up 51% of second-quarter 2026 revenue. Axis Intelligence Research finds Foxconn converted 61.35% of gross profit into operating profit that quarter, against 41.13% in 2021.

Key Findings

  1. Foxconn reported NT$1,158.6 billion of unaudited revenue for September 2026, its first month above NT$1 trillion, up 38.42% from September 2025, per Hon Hai’s filing on October 5, 2026.
  2. Axis Intelligence Research’s Cloud-to-Consumer Revenue Ratio (CCRR) for Foxconn reached 1.76 in Q2 2026, up from 0.65 for full-year 2024 and 0.41 for 2023.
  3. Axis Intelligence Research’s Gross-to-Operating Conversion Ratio (GOCR) for Foxconn reached 61.35% in Q2 2026, meaning 61 cents of every gross-profit dollar became operating profit, versus 41 cents in 2021.
  4. Customers billed in the United States accounted for 46.74% of Foxconn’s first-quarter 2026 revenue, up from 38.60% a year earlier, per Axis Intelligence Research’s analysis of Hon Hai’s reviewed Q1 2026 financial statements.
  5. Foxconn Industrial Internet, Hon Hai’s AI server subsidiary, generated 79.94% of group operating income in Q1 2026, up from 58.12% a year earlier, an Axis Intelligence Research calculation from Hon Hai’s segment disclosures.

How Much Revenue Does Foxconn Make?

Foxconn’s 2025 revenue was NT$8,103.1 billion (NT$8.10 trillion), an 18.13% increase over 2024 and a record, according to Hon Hai’s 2025 Annual Report. The company puts that at about US$260 billion. In 2026, monthly revenue has run well ahead of that pace.

Every month of 2026 has been a record for that calendar month, and only February grew by single digits (+8.06%). The year-on-year growth rate peaked at 54.19% in July, the first month of Vera Rubin rack preparation, before the September comparison base rose with last year’s iPhone launch.

Third-quarter 2026 revenue totaled NT$3,026,911 million (NT$3.03 trillion) on a monthly basis, against NT$2,057,445 million a year earlier, up 47.12% from a year earlier and 20.44% from the second quarter, Hon Hai said on October 5. Revenue for January to September reached NT$7,669.8 billion, up 39.53%.

How close is Foxconn to beating its 2025 record?

Axis Intelligence Research calculates that Foxconn’s first nine months of 2026 already equal 94.65% of its full-year 2025 revenue (7,669.8 ÷ 8,103.1). The remaining gap is NT$433.3 billion — less than half of what the company booked in September alone. Annualized, September’s revenue implies a run rate of NT$13.90 trillion, or 1.72 times the 2025 total.

Mia Scarlett: A run rate built on one peak month overstates the year — September carries both a new iPhone launch and a quarter-end rack push. The more conservative read is the nine-month figure, and it already settles the question of whether 2026 is a record. What it does not settle is margin, which is the next section.

Is Foxconn Now an AI Server Company or an iPhone Company?

By revenue mix, Foxconn is now primarily an AI infrastructure manufacturer. Cloud and networking products — servers, AI racks and switches — made up 51% of second-quarter 2026 revenue, according to Hon Hai’s Q2 2026 results presentation. Smart consumer electronics, the segment that holds iPhone assembly, fell to 29%. Hon Hai’s rotating CEO Michael Chiang told investors the cloud share crossed 50% for the first time that quarter.

The Cloud-to-Consumer Revenue Ratio (CCRR)

The Cloud-to-Consumer Revenue Ratio (CCRR) is an Axis Intelligence Research metric that expresses Foxconn’s pivot as one number: cloud and networking revenue divided by smart consumer electronics revenue. Because both shares come from the same total, the ratio of shares equals the ratio of revenues. A reading of 1.00 means the two businesses are the same size.

Formula: CCRR = cloud & networking revenue share ÷ smart consumer electronics revenue share

The Q4 readings matter more than the second-quarter peaks. The fourth quarter is when iPhone volume is heaviest, and in Q4 2024 Foxconn’s CCRR was 0.51. A year later, in the same seasonal slot, it was 1.08. Hon Hai Chairman Young Liu said Q4 2025 was the first time cloud revenue beat consumer electronics during the peak season, per the company’s FY2025 results release.

How big is each Foxconn segment in NT dollars?

Hon Hai discloses segment shares, not segment revenue. Axis Intelligence Research estimates segment revenue by multiplying each disclosed share by reported total revenue. Shares are rounded to whole percentages by the company, so each estimate carries a band of roughly ±0.5 percentage point of total revenue.

PeriodCloud & networking (NT$ bn, est.)Smart consumer electronics (NT$ bn, est.)Basis

On these estimates, Foxconn’s cloud and networking revenue grew about 75.2% year on year in Q2 2026 (rounding band: 71.4% to 79.1%), while smart consumer electronics grew about 16.7%. Over the two years from 2023 to 2025, implied cloud revenue rose 139.1% while implied consumer revenue fell 7.5%.

Foxconn segment revenue reported for Q1 2026

Hon Hai’s reviewed consolidated financial statements for the quarter ended March 31, 2026 disclose segment revenue in NT dollars rather than rounded percentages. These are the only exact segment figures in the public record for 2026.

On these unrounded figures, Foxconn’s CCRR was 1.47 in Q1 2026 against 0.86 in Q1 2025. Cloud and networking alone supplied 94.64% of Foxconn’s NT$475.2 billion year-on-year revenue increase in the first quarter. The reported 79.56% cloud growth also sits inside the rounding band we derived from percentages for Q2, which suggests the share-based estimates track the audited reality closely.

Mia Scarlett: The consumer line did not collapse; it went sideways while the server line more than doubled underneath it. That distinction matters for anyone modelling Apple exposure. The iPhone business is still roughly NT$3 trillion a year — it simply stopped being the denominator that everything else is measured against.

How Profitable Is Foxconn?

Foxconn runs on thin margins: a 6.15% gross margin and a 3.20% operating margin in 2025, per Hon Hai’s annual report. What changed in 2026 is the distance between the two. In Q2 2026 the gross margin slipped to 6.12% from 6.33% a year earlier, while the operating margin rose to 3.75% from 3.16%, per the Q2 presentation. Operating income jumped 68% on revenue growth of 41%, because operating expenses grew only about 5%, CFO David Huang said on the earnings call.

The Gross-to-Operating Conversion Ratio (GOCR)

The Gross-to-Operating Conversion Ratio (GOCR) is an Axis Intelligence Research metric that measures how much of Foxconn’s gross profit survives selling, general, administrative and R&D costs to become operating income. For a manufacturer whose gross margin is set largely by customers and component prices, GOCR isolates the part management controls: scale and overhead discipline.

Formula: GOCR = operating income ÷ gross profit × 100

Axis Intelligence Research finds that Foxconn’s GOCR rose by 20 percentage points between 2021 (41.13%) and Q2 2026 (61.35%). Across the same span, revenue grew 35.18% (2021 to 2025) while operating income grew 74.02%. The AI rack is a low-margin product per dollar of revenue, but it is a high-throughput one: a single rack carries so much revenue that fixed overhead is spread across a far larger base.

Mia Scarlett: GOCR has a ceiling, and Foxconn is closer to it than the trend line suggests. Above roughly two-thirds, further gains have to come from gross margin itself — vertical integration of components, which management says now exceeds 50% of rack content, or the consignment model for ASIC projects that shrinks revenue but lifts margin. Watch the gross margin, not the conversion ratio, in 2027.

Which part of Foxconn earns the profit?

Hon Hai reports operating income for four reporting groups. The largest earner is Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII), the Shanghai-listed subsidiary that houses most of the server and cloud business. In Q1 2026, FII posted segment operating income of NT$60,473 million on operating revenue of NT$1,144,633 million, per the reviewed Q1 statements.

Axis Intelligence Research finds that FII generated 79.94% of Foxconn’s group operating income in Q1 2026, against 58.12% a year earlier. The parent group, which holds much of the legacy assembly business, earned less operating income than a year before even as its revenue rose 5.65%. The AI server arm is not only growing faster; it runs at about four times the operating margin of the rest of the group.

Foxconn net profit, EPS and dividend

Net profit attributable to the parent reached NT$59.97 billion in Q2 2026, with EPS of NT$4.27 against NT$3.19 a year earlier, per the Q2 presentation. First-half EPS was NT$7.84. For 2025, Hon Hai paid a cash dividend of NT$7.2 per share, a payout ratio of 52.9% and NT$100.9 billion in total, and reported a return on equity of 11.25%.

What Is Foxconn’s Share of the AI Server Market?

Foxconn says it holds more than 40% of the global AI server market, a figure Chairman Young Liu repeated at the March 2026 investor conference, as reported by the Taipei Times. This is a company-reported figure; no independent measurement firm’s estimate was available to reconcile it against.

Nvidia, the largest GPU supplier in these racks, names Hon Hai Precision Industry first among the contract manufacturers that assemble, test and package its products, in its Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended January 25, 2026 filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The ASIC detail deserves attention. CFO David Huang said on the Q2 call that ASIC projects run mostly on a consignment basis, where the customer supplies the expensive chips. Revenue recognized on those racks is therefore smaller than the work performed — which means the 10% ASIC share of AI server revenue understates Foxconn’s ASIC volume, and future CCRR readings could flatten even if rack output keeps growing.

Where does Foxconn’s AI demand come from?

Foxconn’s Q2 2026 presentation cites U.S. cloud provider capital expenditure of US$412 billion in 2025, with forecasts of US$795 billion for 2026 and US$1,061 billion for 2027, attributed on the slide to Bloomberg and KGI Securities. Those are third-party forecasts relayed by the company, not Foxconn guidance. For the spending side of that equation, see our AI capex tracker and the gap analysis in AI spending vs revenue.

Which Countries Does Foxconn’s Revenue Come From?

Foxconn’s revenue is now concentrated on U.S. customers. Revenue from contracts with customers in the United States reached NT$990.7 billion in Q1 2026, 46.74% of the total, up 56.11% from a year earlier, according to Hon Hai’s reviewed Q1 2026 financial statements. The disclosure groups revenue by region of the contracting customer, not by factory location.

U.S.-billed customers accounted for 74.93% of Foxconn’s year-on-year revenue growth in Q1 2026, an Axis Intelligence Research calculation. Revenue billed to customers in China fell 24.81% to NT$66.4 billion, just 3.13% of the total.

Mia Scarlett: Read this table as a map of who signs the purchase orders, not where the screws are turned. A Singapore or Irish billing entity is often a U.S. company’s procurement arm, so true U.S. exposure is higher than 46.74%. That matters for tariff and export-control risk: the customer concentration that once sat in Cupertino now sits in a handful of U.S. cloud budgets.

How Is Foxconn Funding the AI Build-Out?

Growth is consuming cash. Foxconn’s operating cash flow was a net outflow of NT$69.1 billion in the first half of 2026, and free cash flow was negative NT$150.0 billion after NT$80.9 billion of capital expenditure, according to the Q2 presentation. Net cash fell to NT$219.8 billion at June 30, 2026 from NT$243.6 billion a year earlier, though cash and time deposits still totaled NT$1.52 trillion.

Is Foxconn’s balance sheet getting heavier?

Not per dollar of sales. Axis Intelligence Research measured trade working capital — receivables plus inventory minus payables — against annualized quarterly revenue. The ratio was 12.16% at June 30, 2025 and 12.15% at June 30, 2026. Trade working capital rose from NT$872.6 billion to NT$1,227.8 billion, but revenue rose in step. The cash outflow is the cost of growing, not a sign of slower collections; the shorter cash conversion cycle points the same way.

Capex rose 27.45% in 2025. Management said 2026 spending targets servers, racks, liquid cooling and testing capacity, with the United States build-out concentrated in Texas, Wisconsin, Ohio and California, per the Q2 2026 results release. Foxconn reported 2025 EBITDA of about NT$357.1 billion and first-half 2026 adjusted EBITDA of NT$227.7 billion.

Mia Scarlett: Negative free cash flow in a growth year is not a warning by itself; working capital intensity holding at 12% is the reassuring detail. The ratio to watch is net cash against the capex guidance. A 30%-plus increase on 2025’s NT$173.8 billion, with net cash already down to NT$219.8 billion, is why the CFO spent so much of the call on debt funding — and why he said no equity raise is planned.

How Many People Work at Foxconn?

Foxconn employs approximately 900,000 people during peak manufacturing season, across more than 240 sites in 24 countries, according to Hon Hai’s Q2 2026 results release. Headcount swings with the iPhone build cycle, so the company publishes the peak figure rather than a year-end count.

Axis Intelligence Research estimates Foxconn’s 2025 revenue per peak-season employee at about NT$9.00 million (NT$8,103.1 billion ÷ 900,000), or roughly US$289,000 using the company’s own US$260 billion revenue conversion. Because the denominator is an approximate peak figure, the result is an order-of-magnitude benchmark, not an exact productivity measure.

The company says its automation rates for computer numerical control (CNC) machining and surface-mount technology (SMT) processes are close to 100%, and that compute-tray assembly for the newest AI racks is fully automated, per the Q2 call. Foxconn’s robotics deployments are tracked in our humanoid robot deployment tracker.

How Big Is Foxconn Compared With the Rest of the Industry?

Foxconn ranked 23rd on the Fortune Global 500 in 2026, up five places, and says its share of the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) market exceeds 40%, per the Q2 2026 release. Electronics manufacturing services means building products for brands that design and sell them. Both figures are company-reported.

On R&D, Hon Hai’s 2025 Annual Report says the group spends more than NT$100 billion a year on research and development, and the Q2 call put 2026 spending on its “3+3+3” new businesses and the Hon Hai Research Institute at close to NT$20 billion, up 40%.

On the consumer side, Foxconn’s role in folding-phone assembly is covered in our foldable phone statistics.

Methodology

Collection. Axis Intelligence Research retrieved every figure on October 20, 2026 from Hon Hai Precision Industry’s own disclosures: the 2025 Annual Report, quarterly results presentations and press releases (4Q24, 3Q25, FY2025, 2Q26), the Q2 2026 investor call transcript, and monthly revenue filings submitted to the London Stock Exchange. Monthly figures for January–September 2026 and 2025 come from Hon Hai’s September 2026 monthly revenue report. Exact Q1 2026 segment revenue, revenue by customer region and reporting-group operating income come from Hon Hai’s consolidated financial statements reviewed by PwC Taiwan for the quarter ended March 31, 2026. The fourth-quarter 2025 segment split and the 2027 Vera Rubin share target were taken from company statements reported by the Taipei Times. Nvidia’s contract-manufacturer disclosure comes from its 10-K filed with the SEC.

Formulas.

  • GOCR = operating income ÷ gross profit × 100, using reported NT$ figures.
  • CCRR = cloud & networking revenue share ÷ smart consumer electronics revenue share.
  • Implied segment revenue = company-reported segment share × reported total revenue. Rounding band: ±0.5 percentage point of total revenue per segment.
  • Trade working capital intensity = (accounts receivable + inventory − accounts payable) ÷ (quarterly revenue × 4) × 100.
  • Revenue per peak-season employee = annual revenue ÷ 900,000.
  • Q1 2026 segment and regional shares = reported segment or regional revenue ÷ reported total revenue.
  • FII share of operating income = FII segment operating income ÷ group operating income.
  • Q4 2026 threshold = FY2025 revenue − January–September 2026 revenue.

Scope. Hon Hai does not disclose revenue by customer, so this page does not state Apple’s or Nvidia’s share of Foxconn’s sales. Monthly revenue is unaudited and can differ slightly from the reviewed quarterly statements (for example, Q2 2026 is NT$2,513,270 million on a monthly basis and NT$2,525,894 million in the income statement); we keep each series on its own basis and say which one we use. AI server market share is company-reported. Third-party capex forecasts are shown only as relayed by the company. Regional revenue reflects the customer’s billing region, which can differ from the end market.

Foxconn Revenue FAQ

Does Foxconn still depend on Apple?

Hon Hai does not disclose revenue by customer. The closest public proxy is the smart consumer electronics segment, which includes iPhone assembly: it fell to 29% of revenue in Q2 2026 from 54% in 2023, per Hon Hai’s results presentations. Axis Intelligence Research estimates that segment still generated about NT$3.08 trillion in 2025.

Why are Foxconn’s margins so low if AI servers are booming?

AI racks contain very expensive third-party chips that pass through Foxconn’s revenue at little markup, so gross margin stays near 6% — 6.12% in Q2 2026. The gain shows up lower down: Foxconn’s operating margin rose to 3.75% in Q2 2026 from 3.16% a year earlier, and its Gross-to-Operating Conversion Ratio reached 61.35%, per Axis Intelligence Research.

Does Foxconn build Nvidia’s AI servers?

Yes. Nvidia’s 10-K for fiscal 2026, filed with the SEC, names Hon Hai Precision Industry among the contract manufacturers that assemble, test and package its products. Foxconn says about 80% of its servers use GPUs and about 20% use custom ASICs.

What is Foxconn’s AI server market share?

Foxconn says it holds more than 40% of the global AI server market, a company-reported figure from its March 2026 investor conference. Management told investors in August 2026 it is working toward 50% of next-generation AI racks.

Will Foxconn’s 2026 revenue be a record?

Almost certainly on the reported numbers. Foxconn booked NT$7,669.8 billion in January–September 2026, 94.65% of its record 2025 total. Axis Intelligence Research calculates it needs only NT$433.3 billion in Q4 2026 — less than half of September’s NT$1,158.6 billion — to set a new annual record.

Why did Foxconn’s free cash flow turn negative in 2026?

Receivables and inventory each grew about 47% year on year to fund AI rack shipments, and capex reached NT$80.9 billion in the first half, giving free cash flow of negative NT$150.0 billion, per the Q2 2026 presentation. Axis Intelligence Research finds working capital per dollar of annualized revenue was unchanged at about 12.2%.

How much of Foxconn’s revenue comes from the United States?

Customers billed in the United States generated NT$990.7 billion, or 46.74% of Foxconn’s revenue, in Q1 2026, up from 38.60% a year earlier, per Hon Hai’s reviewed Q1 2026 financial statements. Customers billed in China accounted for 3.13%.

Where does Foxconn make AI servers in the United States?

Foxconn told investors in August 2026 that it will expand R&D and manufacturing capacity in Texas, Wisconsin, Ohio and California to serve U.S. customers, alongside capacity growth in Taiwan, Mexico and Vietnam, per its Q2 2026 results release.

How much does Foxconn pay in dividends?

For fiscal 2025, Hon Hai paid a cash dividend of NT$7.2 per share, totaling NT$100.9 billion, a payout ratio of 52.9%, per its FY2025 results release and Q2 2026 call. The company says its payout ratio has exceeded 50% for seven consecutive years.
